Valerie Roper is a Licensed Professional Counselor who works primarily with children and adolescents ages 10+, as well as adult women. She specializes in helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, ADHD, mood disorders, women’s issues, stress, relationship difficulties, self-harm, suicidal ideation, and self-esteem challenges.
Valerie believes in the inherent strength and capacity for growth within each individual and strives to support clients as they pursue healing, self-discovery, and emotional wellness. She works to empower clients to identify and change unhelpful patterns of thinking and behavior while fostering self-compassion, resilience, and hope.
Her therapeutic approach is person-centered and integrates evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness techniques. Valerie creates a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, valued, and encouraged throughout their counseling journey.
