Jennifer Rasco
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Jennifer is a masters level counselor. She primarily works with children and adolescents. She has 11 years of experience in the foster care field, with experience both as a foster parent and from the perspective of working for a child placing agency. Jennifer believes that by helping children to heal, to learn new skills to break negative behaviors or patterns, we have the opportunity to have fewer adults in the future who are struggling to overcome their childhood. Everyone deserves to have a voice and to become the best version of themselves; a version that they are proud of.
When searching for a therapist, you likely are not in the best season of your life. You are likely to be overwhelmed and desperately seeking reprieve. As a result of that need, you need to find a therapist that you are comfortable with. When you feel comfortable and safe, the real, deep work can begin. You can begin to walk out your healing and freedom in the best version of you.
Jennifer received her B.S. in Psychology from Liberty University and her M.A. in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor who plans to pursue becoming a Registered Play Therapist. By utilizing play, a child feels safe and has the ability to learn new skills, process through stressors or trauma, while becoming the best version of themselves. Additionally, I like to use a client centered approach by using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness and motivational interviewing.
Jennifer accepts private pay and is a network provider for Cigna and Aetna. Other insurances are in the process of being accepted.
