Caroline Weston-Park

M.A., Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), EMDR Trained, Animal Assisted Therapy

    Caroline is a Licensed Professional Counselor who graduated from Hardin-Simmons University with a Clinical Counseling & Marriage Family Therapy graduate degree with a Family Ministry Certification from Logsdon Seminary. She received her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Law from Weber State University in Utah and a graduate degree in Human Resource Management from Troy University in Florida.

    She specializes in crisis counseling, trauma, abuse, suicide, self-harm and a variety of other struggles and life changes. She has had the fortunate opportunity to walk alongside a variety of clients, including adolescents, college students, adults, couples, and those who are facing traumatic experiences and faith crises.  She provides counseling to adults and adolescents age 12 and older, couples therapy and family counseling.  She offers expertise in Christian Counseling.   While her Christian beliefs influence the way she understands pain and healing, she sees clients from all backgrounds and respects the views of each individual client. For those who desire, she incorporates faith, scripture and prayer. Her passion is counseling from a biblical perspective.  She believes God is the ultimate Healer and Counselor, knowing each of us individually and loving us unconditionally.  She loves watching the Holy Spirit move in her client’s hearts and minds as they heal.

    She has worked with adolescents and adults in an in-patient hospitalization setting for three years who experience a range of Schizophrenia Spectrum and other Psychotic Disorders, Trauma- and Stressor-Related Disorders, Dissociation, Depression, Anxiety and Panic Disorders. She has worked alongside grief counselors while volunteering at Hendrick Hospice in Abilene, Texas and Homeless and Domestic Violence Shelters in Orlando, Florida.

    Caroline provides Animal Assisted Therapy with her certified therapy canine. Asher is currently certified with Alliance of Dog Therapy and has participated in 75+ hours of individual and group counseling sessions. He brings healing, compassion, love, and emotional support to those in need.

    She is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Pet Loss Grief, and LivingWorks Start – learning the TASC steps to recognize thoughts of suicide and engage safety resources. She is a Prepare/Enrichment Facilitator for marriage/couples counseling as well.

    Counseling is unique for each person who seeks help because each person presents their own history, struggles and pain. Caroline offers a safe, warm, and compassionate setting in which one is able to discuss their hurts and tell their story in order to work towards healing, growth, stability and reconciliation with others.
