
Cassie Christian

Cassie Christian is originally from Round Rock, Texas, and moved to Abilene to attend Abilene Christian University, where she earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work. She later completed a clinical social work fellowship with the Texas A&M Department of Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic, where she received training in a wide variety of therapeutic modalities and worked with clients from diverse backgrounds and experiences. After completing the program, Cassie returned to Abilene and now offers both in-person and virtual appointments.
Cassie takes a person-centered and strengths-based approach to therapy, striving to meet clients where they are with compassion, honesty, and grace. She has training and experience in several evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).Cassie is also a recognized provider through the STRONG STAR Training Initiative of Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).
Cassie primarily works with individuals ages 12 and older who are navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, women’s issues, grief, self-harm behaviors, or suicidal thoughts. She also has experience supporting moms, medical professionals, survivors of interpersonal violence, individuals with ADHD, caregivers, and clients seeking to break unhealthy generational patterns.
Cassie believes therapy should be a safe place where clients can explore every part of themselves without fear of judgment or shame. She walks alongside her clients with compassion, support, and gentle challenge as they pursue healing, growth, and emotional wellness. She thinks of the therapy space as holy ground.
Cassie accepts all major insurance companies, including Medicare and Medicaid.
